清明时节雨纷纷
definitely not going to the lim chu kang cemetery i thought. giggles :)the traffic was ok and the navigator surprisingly made me take a earlier turn and we ended up having to cut across 2 plots of graves on foot before reaching my grandma's.
this year's affair seemed a hasty one. not sure if its the scorching sun and ironically, my mum had such a good time at the new annex at jurong point. we had our lunch at 鼎泰丰 which she was very pleased with their 拉面 and of course the famous 小笼包.
we toured the entire jurong point after lunch and headed for a hk style dessert shop call 记得吃 (gei dak sek). again my mom raved about the desserts and she simply adored the 炖蛋撞姜, something which we missed when we were in macau last year.
essentially, food prevailed the entire afternoon.

its feels like amputation
i called my mom only to find out that my car has already been loaned to my brother, by her.
or, at least i wont have to endure the nagging from my mom for lending my car to my brother without her approval.
its been such a long time since i last took the bus.and it seems i've lost my legs for this weekend,
not withstanding the fact that i am badly burnt.

highlights from london
i explored london mainly by foot, which i probably will never walk so much here in sunny island. its already 8:30am and the streets are still dark.
i was heading towards the buckingham palace to witness the change of guards parade. it was an awfully long wait and in my opinion, not worth the wait in 2 degrees. both my feet were frozen and so were the 1,000 tourists who were there. i gave up and headed towards kinsington palace for an exhibition, followed by fried chicken at whole foods market.
sun sets at 4pm in london and the streets turn dark pretty fast. i walked back leisurely to take pictures of mr big and miss eye:
views of london from miss eye:
the parliament house
the flight was pretty fast and of course the singapore's copy caught fire several hours ago before i boarded the original.
i had loads of bbq pork and crispy pork and roast duck here in chinatown. they are so delicious that i had it once a day during my last 3 days in london.
comparatively, the chinatown in paris is so dead and i certainly see more chinese people walking about in london, specially in harvey nichols, harrods, selfridges.
tate modern (museum)
overall, london was definitely more enjoyable than paris. lots to eat and shop.
and how can i not include this:
