puccini's turandot will be showing here at the esplanade.
this is the first opera i've ever watched and the one i fell in love with.

i guess having watched the metropolitan opera's version,


the actual forbidden city version,


and at least 3 other versions which i'm not exactly crazy over, i have extremely high esperanza on the set, the orchestra and the cast, expecially for liu, calaf and of course the principessa. unfortunately, i do not really think much about ping, pong, pang though.

even a-mei did a taiwanese version of turandot.


im betting that the local production would be a joke.
already the chinese translation for turandot is wrong!

my brother sms-ed me for a favour - to help him think of a nice name for his transportation business.

his specifications:

"i need you to think of a nice name, not like some tim's transport service. too old pattern using this kind of name and no class at all."

im still very tickled by him using 'no class at all'
